Hi Quad,
yeah it's been 3 yrs or so... the last level i released was 2 yrs ago
"Halcyon Lodge"...
I started a "Spanish theme" TR3 level in summer 2006.
I play around with collecting textures, making new static meshes
for this level; perhaps i'll finish it someday.
I still enjoy TR level building, but i'm doing it for myself now.
No expectations & no pressure.

I was ... "my own Worst Enemy"...
i think people liked my levels; but i destroyed
everything by thinking that what i was doing was important.
naturally, that "clouded my thinking".

I behaved like an ... ~ass~
& have tried to apologize to all that i have offended.
I've been "asked to leave" many forums/sites.
I can't help myself.

It was a huge one with almost 100 rooms (around 60 in the present time and 40 back in TRex time ...

But my hard drive crashed and I lost a part of my work so I was so disgusted that I stopped.
Since then I had a new baby (a 2nd daughter) and a lot of work also
(with a lot of travels in eastern Europe, mainly in Hungary, Slovakia and Czech Republic,
lots of TR fans there huhh?)"

too bad about that level; i find that if i have a good idea,
i usually keep building on it.
Maybe there's a lot of stuff you've learned in that level
that you might want to build on later?

That's a talent you have; i can't build guitars & i can't
play them very well either. I was Soooo disgusted with my guitar playing,
I am playing bass in two different "classic rock" bands now.
it's fun. music is fun again. that's what i needed. and...
(everybody needs a bass player!)

Quad, you'll like this: i just bought an old (1955) Hammond B3
electric organ and Leslie (rotating) speaker cabinet.

This old musical insrument is Great! It's so much fun to play.
I am terrible but it is fun to get the sounds like Greg Rolie
in the early Santana band.
or Garth Hudson of "The Band". and "Deep Purple" or many others.

"I won't probably build a new level ... but it's always a pleasure to play old TR1/2 and TR3 levels.
I've put the all the TR1 levels together on a CD to play in (very) high definition with Glidos.
I have also played original TR1 with Glidos and HD textures (take a look here www.tombraiderxtra.com )...
it's incredible... maybe better than TR Anniversary...

Well it's so good to hear from you my old friend! I've enjoyed
playing your levels and talking with you. Wasn't it great when we were
building TR levels? It was good to "boldly Go where ... (not many) no one
had gone before..."

Turbo & several other great programmers gave us all the tools
to do that & for a few years we were a group of crazies who
entertained each other with our TR creations.

now-a-days,
i have "reverted" to what i have always done,
play music.
But i still think about the old TombRaider days.
